Professor Stephen Hawking is a brilliant theoretical astrophysicist with Lou Gehrig's Disease who is largely responsible for our current understanding of black hole physics. He owed the O.S.I. a favor and wrote a paper submitted under Billy Whalen's name in Professor Fantomos's class at State University at the request of Colonel Hunter Gathers in order to endear Billy to his professor to get him to reveal his connection with the Guild of Calamitous Intent ("The Invisible Hand of Fate").
