Jefferson Twilight is a Blackula Hunter, and a member of The Order of the Triad. Upon killing his prey he collects their fangs for his necklace. He does not drink alcohol, but he does have an affinity for Nik-L-Nips, which seem to affect him deeply due to diabetes. His mother was taken from him when he was 10 by marauding Blackulas, no doubt inspiring him to take up his current profession.

He has hunted Blackulas all over the world and is a very proficient swordsman. His main ability is called the blood eye which allows him to locate Blackulas even when they are in hiding. This ability has a draw back in which if he's distracted or doesn't kill a Blackula while it's active he gets "blue balls" in his blood eye. For a long time his blood eye was the only special power he was aware of, a source of irritation for him when The Alchemist and Dr. Orpheus forgot his limitations. But he does have the ability to be "between worlds", which acts as a deus ex machina while fighting a demon, acting as a bridge to rescue the others from Hell.

He used to be a tank commander in the Marines, and he's shown the ability to operate heavy transport vehicles. He also raises carrier pigeons on his roof.

• Jefferson's origin (his mother was pregnant with him when she was attacked by Blackulas) is similar to the Marvel Comics character Blade.
• In his voice and appearance, he resembles Samuel L. Jackson.
